FFI and UXV Technologies have established a comprehensive and close cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

During the Norwegian Royal visit to Denmark on June 15-16, 2023, Forsvarets Forskningsinstitutt (FFI), also known as the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment, and UXV Technologies have solidified their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration focuses on jointly innovating and developing cutting-edge technologies, particularly in the field of camera gimbals.

FFI and UXV Technologies have established a comprehensive and close cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 16th, 2023. The objective of this MOU is to foster enhanced cooperation between the two entities, creating a framework for the exchange of experiences and the development of sustainable, economic, and innovative technologies, including within defense.

During the signing ceremony Jan Erik Torp, Deputy Director General at Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) emphasized the importance of the agreement in FFI’s future research and development of autonomous systems and sensor technology.

“With this Memorandum of Understanding, we will be deeping our collaboration with UXV Technologies within not only sensor technology but also in broader areas such as autonomous systems such as drones. These technological domains hold significant importance for FFI’s research and development, and I am very excited about the prospects that this collaboration brings” said Jan Erik Torp, Deputy Director General, Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI).

FFI, also known as the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment, is a government agency operating under the Norwegian Ministry of Defence. Its role entails providing scientific research and technical expertise to the Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvaret).

Since its establishment in 1946, FFI has been dedicated to conducting research and development (R&D) activities that cater to Norway's defence and security needs

FFI plays a crucial role in providing knowledge and analysis to aid decision-making processes within the Norwegian defense sector.
